William Shakespeare was the third child to John Shakespeare and Mary Arden. His father worked as a glover and leather worker by trade.
Shakespeare was married to Anne Hathaway in 1582 when he was just 18 and Hathaway was 26 years old.
Anne Hathaway was from a small village called Shottery which was a mile west of Stratford-upon-Avon.
